Week of August 2-8

• • Ladies Lunch, Aug. 2...All ladies of the church are invited to gather together for lunch the first Sunday of each month immediately after the church service. Meet on Sunday, August 2 at McAlister's Deli in Gurnee, located in the Grand Hunt Center at 6557 Grand Avenue (in the outer drive near Helzberg Diamonds). This is an ongoing invitation-no sign-up, just come if you can on each first Sunday. See Ellen Roth if you have any questions.

  • Ladies Bible Study, Aug. 5...This group will meet this month on August 5 and 19 at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. The ladies are studying a book titled Desiring God's Own Heart (now in Samuel 2), another study written by Kay Arthur. If you have any questions, contact Becky Martens, Ellen Roth, or Ginger Sommer.

Week of August 9-15

• • Communion, Aug. 9...

  • Prayer Meeting, Aug. 9...Prayer Meeting is held monthly on the second Sunday of each month. Come this month on August 9 at 4:00 p.m. We will pray together as we focus on needs and praises for our church and community.

  • Family Night, Aug. 14...This month, we'll have our final summer Family Night on August 14 at the Beckman's home. Come for swimming and fellowship time from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Bring swimming attire and a towel if you plan to swim. Also bring your appetite for the ice cream sundae bar that will be provided!

Week of August 16-22

• • Teen Multi-Church Activity, Aug. 16...Meet up with teens from other local churches at Austin's Restaurant, located at 481 Peterson Road in Libertyville. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. though the event doesn't begin until 7:00; then extends to 9:00. See John Tate for more information.

  • Ladies Bible Study, Aug. 19...This group will meet on August 19 at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. The ladies are studying a book titled Desiring God's Own Heart (now in Samuel 2), another study written by Kay Arthur. • • Board Meeting, Aug 30...The July Board Meeting will be held on Sunday, August 30 at 3:30 p.m. Please keep our church elders and deacons in prayer as they meet to discuss current business and plan for the coming months.
