Week of December 28-January 3

• • Identity Youth Group Camp Timber lee Retreat, Jan. 2-4…The teens are returning to Camp Timber lee for a time of fellowship and spiritual fulfillment. They leave on Friday, January 2 and return on Sunday, January 4. There will be no Identity Youth Group meeting on January 4. Parents, see John or Rebecca Tate if you have any last-minute questions about the retreat.

  • Note: There will be no Men’s Breakfast on January 3.

Week of January 4-10

• • Ladies Lunch, Jan. 4…All ladies of the church are invited to gather for lunch the first Sunday of each month immediately after the church service. Meet on Sunday January 4 at McAlister’s Deli in Gurnee, located in the Grand Hunt Center at 6557 Grand Avenue (in the outer drive near Helzberg Diamonds). This is an ongoing invitation—no sign-up, just come if you can on each first Sunday. See Becky Martens if you have any questions.

  • Sunday Small Group, Jan. 4…The Sunday Small Groupmeets on the 1^st and 3^rd Sundays each month at 4:30 p.m. (via ZOOM). This group is currently studying from a LifeGuide book by J. I. Packer called Meeting God. If you’d like to know more about this study group or get the information to join a meeting, either contact Jay or one of the leaders—Mike or Cindy Metcalf.

  • Identity Youth Group will not meet on Jan. 4 due to the retreat…

  • Ladies Bible Study, Jan. 7…This group meets every other Wednesday at the church at 6:30 p.m. The current study, written by Kay Arthur, is titled Choosing Victory, Overcoming Defeat: Joshua, Judges, Ruth. The group will focus on the final book, covering all of Ruth on January 7. This will complete this study. However, a new study is planned for January 21 called I and II Samuel, another study written by Kay Arthur. This is a great time to join this Bible study. Any ladies who are interested can find out more by contacting Becky Martens.

Week of January 11-17

• • Communion, Jan. 11…

  • Prayer Meeting, Jan. 11…Prayer Meeting is held monthly on the second Sunday of each month. Join us on January 11 at 4:00 p.m. We will pray together as we focus on needs and praises for our church, our community, and beyond.

  • Identity Youth Group, Jan. 11…This group will meet at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All teens are encouraged to come enjoy a fun time together as well as study the Word of God.

  • Men’s Retreat, Jan. 16-18…The men will head to Conference Point Center in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, leaving mid-afternoon(ish) on Friday, January 16 and will return in time for Morning Worship on Sunday. Meals, accommodations, Bible study/lessons, and more are included. See Jay for more information.

  • Ladies Fellowship Breakfast, Jan. 17…This ministry meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Panera Bread on 254 E Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach. Meet at 8:30 a.m. on January 17 for fellowship time. Feel free to purchase coffee/breakfast as you arrive.

Week of January 18-24

• • Morning Worship, January 18…The men, including Jay, will be returning from the retreat held in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. A special speaker will provide the morning message: Marc Tantillo, who we know very well and whose presentations are always enjoyable and insightful.

  • Informed Choices Presentation, Jan. 18…Observance of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is on January 18. We will celebrate the value of God’s Creation with a visit from Informed Choices and the kick-off of their annual Baby Bottle Campaign.

• • Board Meeting, Jan 25…The January Board Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 25 at 3:30 p.m. Please keep our church elders and deacons in prayer as they meet to discuss current business and plan for the coming months.

  • Identity Youth Group, Jan. 25…This group will meet at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All teens are encouraged to come enjoy a fun time together as well as study the Word of God.
